THE STUDIO & ITS PROCESS
Less noise.
More belonging.

MARA ELLIN / FICTIONAL DESIGNER
Good rooms begin
with listening.
Stillform is an imagined, owner-led residential studio. Its fictional founder, Mara Ellin, starts with the rituals that make a house yours: the first coffee, a table with room for one more, the book left open beside a chair.
This concept pairs architectural clarity with materials that invite touch. A home should hold your life comfortably, without asking you to perform for it.
Stillform and Mara Ellin are fictional. The process below illustrates a possible studio engagement.
FROM INTENTION TO HOME
A considered
process.
For homeowners planning a full renovation, a new build or a complete furnishing project—and looking for a coherent vision from first conversation to final placement.
Illustrative scope. Architecture, engineering, permits and contractor fees would be agreed separately with qualified specialists.
- 01
Discovery
We begin with your daily life: where you gather, what you keep, and what needs to change. The outcome is a shared brief, scope and working budget.
- 02
Concept
A spatial direction, material palette and mood studies give the home a point of view. We agree on the feeling before refining the detail.
- 03
Design development
Room layouts, finish schedules, lighting intent and furniture selections make the concept practical. Specialist and contractor coordination is scoped to the project.
- 04
Procurement
An agreed purchasing schedule tracks approved furnishings, lead times and deliveries. Decisions stay visible, with substitutions discussed before orders change.
- 05
Installation
Furniture, objects and finishing touches come together on site. A final walk-through identifies outstanding details and gives you a clear handover.
