THE STILLFORM STUDIES

Different lives.
Distinctive rhythms.

Three fictional homes, each shaped around a different way of living.
Sample projects. Synthetic imagery. No built-work claims.

01 / Whole-home renovation / FICTIONAL STUDY

The Pale House

Light, softened. A place to let the day fall away.

The brief

Turn an imagined, inward-looking house into a calm home for everyday rituals.

The constraint

Deep rooms and a single bright elevation leave the middle of the plan in shadow.

The design response

A continuous pale palette carries daylight inward; low furniture keeps sightlines open, while oak joins the kitchen to the living room.

Material notes / Chalk plaster · Natural linen · Pale oak

The Long Table

Warmth, shared. A home that makes room for everyone.

02 / Kitchen

The brief

Make an imagined new build feel intimate enough for two and generous enough for a full table.

The constraint

An open plan can make cooking, conversation and quiet compete for the same space.

The design response

Walnut creates a warm center of gravity. The dining table anchors the plan, with softer seating and layered light defining its edges.

The Quiet Wing

Stillness, held. A little distance from the outside world.

02 / Bath

The brief

Give an imagined home a private wing that feels sheltered without feeling closed in.

The constraint

A bedroom and bath need privacy while sharing a limited source of natural light.

The design response

Smoked timber lowers the visual volume. Soft linen and carefully placed stone catch the light, linking rest and bathing into one quiet sequence.

Material notes / Smoked oak · Olive linen · Grey travertine
