The Compliance Risk
Is your firm's AI usage exposing client data?
79% of legal professionals now use AI tools at work — but most are using public platforms that send every prompt to third-party cloud servers. Here's what's at stake.
ABA Formal Opinion 512
Attorneys must evaluate whether AI tools adequately protect client confidential information.
Risk with Cloud AI
Public AI platforms process data on third-party servers — potentially waiving privilege.
Ghost AI Solution
Ghost AI runs entirely on hardware inside your office. No data ever leaves.
Model Rule 1.6 — Confidentiality
A lawyer shall not reveal information relating to the representation of a client.
Risk with Cloud AI
ChatGPT, Copilot, and Claude send every prompt to their cloud servers.
Ghost AI Solution
Our system is air-gapped — zero internet required for operation.
U.S. v. Heppner Implications
Courts are increasingly scrutinizing how attorneys handle privileged data in digital tools.
Risk with Cloud AI
Firms using public AI may face privilege waiver challenges in litigation.
Ghost AI Solution
Complete audit trail on local hardware. You control the entire chain of custody.
State Bar Ethics Opinions
Multiple state bars have issued guidance on AI tool vetting requirements.
Risk with Cloud AI
Failure to vet AI tools for data handling may constitute ethical violations.
Ghost AI Solution
Ghost AI provides full compliance documentation for your ethics review.
How It Works

What Your Private AI Can Do
Built for how attorneys actually work.
Motion & Brief Drafting
Upload a complaint. Receive a draft motion to dismiss in 60 seconds — written in your firm's style, citing your preferred precedents.
Deposition Summarization
Feed a 500-page deposition transcript. Get a structured summary with key admissions, contradictions, and impeachment opportunities in minutes.
Contract Analysis
Upload any contract. The AI identifies non-standard terms, missing protections, liability exposure, and compares against your firm's approved templates.
Case File Search
Query 30 years of case files in natural language. "Find all employment discrimination cases where we used the McDonnell Douglas framework."
Client Intake Automation
AI-powered intake forms that qualify leads, check conflicts, and prepare preliminary case assessments before the first attorney meeting.
Template Fine-Tuning
The AI learns YOUR writing style. Feed it your best motions and it generates first drafts that sound like your senior partners wrote them.
The Deployment Process
From first meeting to live system in 4 weeks.
Compliance Review
We audit your current AI usage against ABA Opinion 512 and state bar ethics requirements. You receive a risk assessment and remediation plan.

Model Training & Deploy
Fine-tune the AI on your documents, deploy on hardware in your office, and configure local network access for your attorneys and staff.
Team Training & Handoff
In-person training for your attorneys and paralegals. Full documentation. 14-30 day support window based on your tier.

Everything your firm needs to know.
Does any client data leave our office?
No. The AI model runs on hardware physically located in your office. All processing happens locally. No data is sent to any cloud service, API, or external server. You could disconnect from the internet entirely and the system would continue functioning.
Is this compliant with ABA Formal Opinion 512?
Yes. ABA Opinion 512 requires attorneys to evaluate whether AI tools adequately protect client confidential information. Our system eliminates the primary risk vector — third-party cloud processing — by running entirely on your premises. We provide full documentation for your compliance review.
How does this compare to Harvey AI or CoCounsel?
Harvey AI and CoCounsel/Thomson Reuters are cloud-based services. Every prompt and document you input is processed on their servers. Our system runs on hardware you own, inside your office, with no internet connection required. For firms handling sensitive litigation or regulated clients, this difference is critical.
What hardware do we need?
For most firms, an Apple Mac Studio M4 Max (128GB, ~$5,000) is sufficient. For larger deployments or models exceeding 26B parameters, we recommend the NVIDIA DGX Spark (128GB, $4,699). We handle all hardware specification, procurement guidance, and setup.
Can the AI really write like our partners?
Yes — through LoRA fine-tuning. We train the model on your approved motions, briefs, and correspondence. The AI learns your writing conventions, citation preferences, formatting standards, and argument structures. The result sounds like your firm, not a generic chatbot.
What models do you use?
We deploy open-weight models — primarily Google Gemma 4 (Apache 2.0 license) and Meta Llama (Community License). These are state-of-the-art language models with no usage fees, no API costs, and no vendor lock-in. You own the model weights on your hardware.
How long does deployment take?
Typical deployment is 3-4 weeks from kickoff. Week 1 is document preparation. Week 2-3 is model training and hardware setup. Week 3-4 is team training and handoff. Your attorneys can start using the system as early as week 2.
What if we need to update the model with new case law?
Our monthly support plans include periodic model retraining. You add new documents to the training set, and we fine-tune the adapter to incorporate the latest precedents, templates, and firm knowledge. The model gets smarter as your firm evolves.
Is Ghost AI veteran-owned?
Yes. Ghost AI Systems is founded by Jose Daniel Castillo, a U.S. Military veteran based in Orlando, Florida. We understand the importance of data security and operational sovereignty because we've lived it.
